Light kits range from a bare pair of headlamps to full street-legal packages with turn signals, brake lights, a horn and a wiring harness. If your goal is road use, the harness and switch matter more than the lamps. Yamaha's golf cart line runs G1 through G22, then the Drive (G29) and Drive2.

Fitment and sizing. Yamaha serial plates are under the seat or on the frame near the driver-side front. G14/G16/G19/G22 share many drivetrain parts; Drive and Drive2 do not. Most kits are 12V and need a voltage reducer on a 36V or 48V cart. Deluxe kits usually include one; basic kits often do not.

Is the Yamaha Drive the same as a G29?

Yes — Yamaha marketed the G29 as the Drive from 2007. Drive2 arrived in 2017 with a revised body, so body panels and enclosures are not interchangeable.
