Electric heaters wire to a 36V or 48V pack and are commonly rated around 400 W. The department also includes cup-holder adapters that hold a propane heater or tank steady.

Electric heaters are voltage-specific and draw from the same pack that drives the cart, so expect some loss of range on cold days. Propane heaters leave the batteries alone but need ventilation and a stable mount.

Is a propane heater safe to use in an enclosed cart?

Use it only as the heater's manufacturer directs. Propane heaters burn oxygen and produce combustion gases, so keep enclosure panels partly open, keep the heater clear of fabric, and never leave it running unattended.

Will an electric heater drain my batteries?

It draws from the same pack as the motor. A 400 W heater on a 48V pack draws a little over 8 amps, so a long cold round with the heater on will cost some range.

Which voltage heater do I need?

Match the heater to the pack: count the batteries and multiply by their voltage, or read the label on your charger. A heater should only be run at the voltage it is rated for.
