The solenoid is the heavy relay that connects the pack to the motor. When it fails you get a click and no movement, or no click at all — one of the cheapest parts to replace on the whole cart. TXT is the EZGO everyone means when they say 'EZGO'.

Fitment and sizing. Fits EZGO TXT. Many TXT parts also fit the 1994–2001 Medalist. TXT and RXV are different platforms — do not cross-shop between them. Solenoids are rated by voltage and terminal count. A 36V solenoid on a 48V pack will not last.

Frequently asked questions

My golf cart clicks but won't move — is it the solenoid?

A click means the solenoid coil is energising. If the cart still does not move, the contacts inside may be burnt, or the fault is downstream at the controller or motor.

Is the EZGO Medalist the same as a TXT?

Close. The Medalist (1994–2001) shares the frame and much of the drivetrain with the early TXT, so a lot of parts are listed as fitting both. Body trim and later electrical parts differ.
