Rear axle bearings and seals are the classic cart maintenance item. A leaking seal contaminates the brake shoes, so the two jobs almost always come together. EZGO's aftermarket is the deepest in the industry, which is good news and a trap at the same time: TXT, RXV, Marathon and Medalist all share a name but not always a bolt pattern.

Fitment and sizing. EZGO serial numbers are on a plate under the glovebox or on the frame under the driver-side seat. RXV parts almost never fit TXT and vice versa. Bearings and seals are sold in axle-side sets. Replace both sides at once — if one has failed the other is the same age.

Why is my golf cart leaking oil near the rear wheel?

Almost always a failed axle seal. Left alone, gear oil reaches the brake shoes and they need replacing too.

Will TXT parts fit an EZGO RXV?

Usually not. The RXV uses a different rear axle, brake design and body mounting, so seat covers, enclosures, brakes and light kits are model-specific. Universal items like fans, mirrors and cup holders do cross over.
