Forward-reverse switches, key switches and dash panels with USB and voltmeter displays are among the most-replaced electrical parts on an ageing cart, both because they wear and because the upgrades are cheap. Club Car has used several very different chassis over the years, so the single most useful thing you can do before ordering is identify your model and year.

Fitment and sizing. Serial number plate sits under the passenger-side dash or on the frame behind the driver-side rear wheel. The first two characters tell you the model year. Forward-reverse assemblies are model and drivetrain specific. Dash panels need a matching cut-out.

Frequently asked questions

Why won't my cart go in reverse?

A worn forward-reverse switch is the first thing to check, followed by the reverse buzzer circuit and the microswitch behind the handle.

How do I tell a Club Car DS from a Precedent?

The DS has a squared-off body with a separate front bumper and exposed hardware. The Precedent has a smooth, rounded front cowl and integrated bumper. Parts are rarely interchangeable between the two.
