Meet the LUAN: a precision driver from the Phoenix Premium Line

The LUAN is crafted for players who want a reliable, high‑performing disc that blends translucency with resilience. Made from The Phoenix Premium Line, this driver stays grippy and flexible in cool conditions while maintaining a clean look and durable feel in play. Its design invites clean release and predictable finish, helping you shape your lines with confidence during outdoor rounds or competition settings.

Disc at a glance

  • Wide‑rim profile with a precise balance of speed and stability, designed for straight flights with a dependable fade.
  • Flight dynamics feature a slight understability before a controlled fade, aimed at maximizing distance for skilled players.
  • Flight metrics include Speed 14, Glide 5, Turn -1, Fade 3, with a diameter of 212 mm and a thickness of 14 mm.
  • Rim details: Rim Depth 11 mm, Rim Width 24 mm; compatible with weights up to 173 g for tournament use.
  • PDGA approved and manufactured to standard dimensions and weight regulations for sanctioned play.

Construction and materials

The Phoenix Premium Line gives the LUAN enhanced translucency along with durable flexibility. This combination helps maintain grip and feel in various weather conditions, so you can trust the disc to respond consistently from first tee to final putt.

Why players reach for the LUAN in real settings

  • Intermediate to advanced players can harness a straight flight with a reliable fade to reach targets on open fairways.
  • Its overstable tendencies around the finish help control distance on wide, open lines where hyzer releases are common.
  • PDGA compliance ensures it meets common tournament standards for weight and dimensions.

In practice, the LUAN supports a balanced, confident throwing approach: you get a predictable arc, a controlled finish, and the potential to maximize distance when executed with proper form. While outcomes depend on user technique and course conditions, the LUAN offers a credible option for players seeking an overstable distance driver with a proven track record on outdoor courses and competitive setups.
