Innova Halo Star Wombat3 Disc Golf Mid-Range — Maximum Glide & Straight Flight (170–174g)

Overview

The Innova Halo Star Wombat3 is a versatile mid-range designed for players who value clean, predictable lines. In the 170–174 g range, this disc blends a comfortable hand feel with enhanced glide and a subtle tendency to straighten after release. Its construction emphasizes a reliable path from the throw to the landing, making it a practical choice for both straight approaches and measured turnovers.

Halo Star plastic is produced via a two-tone injection process that creates a distinctive halo rim in a color set apart from the flight plate. The result is not only visually striking but also contributes to the disc’s durability and a tactile grip that supports confident releases under varying winds and terrains.

Flight characteristics

• Flight numbers: Speed 5, Glide 6, Turn -1, Fade 0, offering solid distance with a gentle turnover and minimal finish.
• Wombat3 ergonomics: a comfortable, lower-profile rim that adds torque resistance and supports stable releases, including sidearm throws.

Halo Star advantage

Halo Star discs are engineered to provide more glide than standard Star, with a halo rim that adds a distinct visual cue and a slightly different feel. This combination helps players maintain control while extending flight length in a variety of playing conditions.

Ideal use cases

• Straight shots and shot shaping to clear obstacles and set up favorable angles.
• Approach passes with predictable landings to simplify next-step decisions on the basket.
• Sidearm and turnover lines thanks to the rim design and stable turn characteristics.

Practical notes

Colors may vary, reflecting Halo Star’s two-tone aesthetic. The Wombat3 mid-range is well suited to players seeking a balance of glide, control, and a visually striking disc on the course.

Care and handling

Store away from direct heat and clean with mild soap after use to preserve color and grip. Inspect the rim and flight plate for wear as you accumulate rounds on different courses.
