Why customers choose Golfavero

Meet the Axiom Discs Proton Hex Midrange

The Proton Hex is a dependable midrange designed for players who value glide, line control, and versatile shaping options. While high arm speeds may show a slight understability from flat, the disc carries a single fade that helps prevent flipping over completely, yielding a predictable finish you can rely on in varied conditions.

For players with slower arm speeds, the Hex reveals enough turn to help you bend lines around trees or through tight gaps. This balance of turn and fade makes the Hex a flexible tool whether you are carving a precise tunnel shot or throwing a gentle turnover with confidence.

Flight profile at a glance

  • 13 mm class disc with a well-rounded set of numbers: Speed 5 | Glide 5 | Turn -1 | Fade 1
  • Known for its glide and remarkably straight flights across a range of skill levels
  • Compact, controllable profile that works well for both woods and open fairways

Proton plastic advantages

  • Proton plastic is Axiom's premium material, built to endure rough conditions while maintaining a bright, translucent look
  • The color range often features candy-like transparency for easy visibility on crowded courses
  • PDGA approved, making it suitable for sanctioned play across divisions

Real world uses and scenarios

On tight wooded holes, you can aim for a straight approach with the Hex and rely on a predictable fade to finish where you want. When wind is a factor, the combination of glide and stability helps you hold your line while you scan for the next landing zone. In practice rounds, you can experiment with arm speed to experience how the Hex shifts from understable to more controlled flight as you adjust your stance and release.

Why choose the Hex for your bag

  • Versatile midrange that can serve as a line shaper and reliable approach disc
  • Durable cosmetics and premium feel thanks to Proton plastic
  • PDGA approved and available in multiple colors to help you branch out different shot inventories
