Axiom Discs Plasma Insanity Distance Driver (170–175g) – Stable, Straight Flight with Plasma Plastic

Axiom Plasma Insanity Distance Driver

The Plasma Insanity from Axiom Discs is a versatile distance driver designed to deliver clean, straight lines and controlled flip-turn potential. The blend of performance and a bold, pearlescent finish creates a striking on-course look while you throw. Crafted for durability and grip, this disc aims to empower players to experiment with line shaping on long holes without sacrificing control.

Flight characteristics

In the 18.5 mm class with a speed rating of 9, glide 5, turn -2, and fade 1.5, the Insanity can hold a steady line on many throws. For average power players, expect a remarkably straight flight; stronger arms can shape flip and turnover lines with precision. The disc is described as a stable-understable distance driver, akin to a worn-in profile that still offers a touch more high speed turn and a diminished fade compared to some peers.

• Straight flight for typical power levels
• Flip and turnover lines possible for stronger arms
• Stable-understable profile suitable for mixed shot lines
• PDGA approved for competition use

Plasma plastic and finish

Plasma plastic is Axiom’s highly durable premium polymer. The pearlescent metallic sheen shifts with lighting, creating a visually dynamic disc, while the semi gummy texture provides a reliable grip across different weather conditions and extended play.

• Durable polymer with color shifting tones
• Semi gummy grip for confident releases
• Vivid finish that shifts in light for visual appeal

On-course and weight details

Available in the 170-175 g range, the Insanity balances speed and stability for many players. The disc’s feel remains comfortable during long rounds, promoting a confident release on long straight gaps or controlled turnover attempts.

Real-world use ideas

Use it on long, straight holes to maximize distance or to execute gentle turnover shots when line shaping is essential. The combination of performance features and a premium finish makes it a compelling choice for players exploring a dependable distance driver that can adapt across varying course layouts.
