Most kits are RGB with remote or app control, and many accept a wide input range such as 12V–80V so they can wire to a 36V, 48V or 72V pack without a separate reducer — check the stated range.

Kits are sold by piece count and strip length, so measure the frame under the floor and the canopy struts before choosing. For headlights, tail lights and turn signals, see golf cart light kits; accent lighting does not replace them.

Frequently asked questions

Can I wire underglow straight to my battery pack?

Only if the kit's input range covers your pack voltage. Many kits here list 12V–80V; a kit rated for 12V only needs a voltage reducer on a 36V or 48V cart.

Are underglow lights street legal?

Rules for coloured and flashing lights vary by state and town. Treat these as accent lighting, check local rules before using them on public roads, and keep standard headlights, tail lights and turn signals working.

Are the strips waterproof?

Most listings state an IP65 to IP68 rating, which covers rain and washing. Mount the control box where it stays out of standing water.
