The controller is the box between the throttle and the motor. Replacing a failed one restores normal drive; upgrading amperage is how owners get more torque out of an otherwise stock cart. TXT is the EZGO everyone means when they say 'EZGO'.

Fitment and sizing. Fits EZGO TXT. Many TXT parts also fit the 1994–2001 Medalist. TXT and RXV are different platforms — do not cross-shop between them. Controller choice must match motor type and pack voltage. Higher-amp controllers put more load on cables, solenoid and motor.

What are the signs of a failing golf cart controller?

Jerky acceleration, a cart that runs only at full speed or not at all, or a controller that gets very hot. Fault codes on IQ and Precision Drive systems help narrow it down.

Is the EZGO Medalist the same as a TXT?

Close. The Medalist (1994–2001) shares the frame and much of the drivetrain with the early TXT, so a lot of parts are listed as fitting both. Body trim and later electrical parts differ.
