Golf cart seat covers do two jobs: they hide sun-cracked vinyl and they stop the next round of UV damage. Fitted covers are cut to a specific cart's seat bottom and back and stay put without hardware; slip-on blanket styles fit almost anything but move around more. The G22 (2003–2007) was the last of the classic G-series body before the Drive redesign, and it shares a great deal of its drivetrain and brake hardware with the G14, G16 and G19 that came before it.

Do golf cart seat covers need staples?

Not the modern fitted ones. Most current covers use elastic hems and hook straps that tuck behind the seat, so no stapler is required. Older-style vinyl replacements sometimes still do.
