Golf cart seat covers do two jobs: they hide sun-cracked vinyl and they stop the next round of UV damage. Fitted covers are cut to a specific cart's seat bottom and back and stay put without hardware; slip-on blanket styles fit almost anything but move around more. Yamaha's G29 — sold as the Drive from 2007 — was a clean-sheet redesign after the G22.

Frequently asked questions

Do golf cart seat covers need staples?

Not the modern fitted ones. Most current covers use elastic hems and hook straps that tuck behind the seat, so no stapler is required. Older-style vinyl replacements sometimes still do.

Is the Drive2 the same as the Drive?

No. Drive2 (2017 and up) revised the body and front end. Seat covers and drivetrain parts often carry over; enclosures, windshields and body panels do not.
