Cart windshields come in fixed and folding styles, in clear or tinted acrylic. Folding is the more practical choice for anyone who drives at speed — flip the top half down and the airflow problem disappears. EZGO's aftermarket is the deepest in the industry, which is good news and a trap at the same time: TXT, RXV, Marathon and Medalist all share a name but not always a bolt pattern.

Fitment and sizing. EZGO serial numbers are on a plate under the glovebox or on the frame under the driver-side seat. RXV parts almost never fit TXT and vice versa. Windshields mount to model-specific brackets. A Precedent shield will not bolt to a DS strut, and RXV and TXT shields differ.

Should I get a folding or fixed windshield?

Folding shields let you drop the upper half for airflow and are easier to clean. Fixed shields are stiffer and cheaper. Both mount the same way.

Will TXT parts fit an EZGO RXV?

Usually not. The RXV uses a different rear axle, brake design and body mounting, so seat covers, enclosures, brakes and light kits are model-specific. Universal items like fans, mirrors and cup holders do cross over.
