Heavy-duty shocks are the standard fix for a cart that bottoms out with four passengers or carries a rear seat kit. Spring rate matters more than shock length for load carrying. TXT is the EZGO everyone means when they say 'EZGO'.

Fitment and sizing. Fits EZGO TXT. Many TXT parts also fit the 1994–2001 Medalist. TXT and RXV are different platforms — do not cross-shop between them. Match shock length and eyelet type to your cart. Lifted carts need longer shocks than the stock item.

Do I need heavy-duty shocks for a rear seat kit?

If you regularly carry rear passengers, yes. Stock shocks and springs are set for two people and a bag rack.

Is the EZGO Medalist the same as a TXT?

Close. The Medalist (1994–2001) shares the frame and much of the drivetrain with the early TXT, so a lot of parts are listed as fitting both. Body trim and later electrical parts differ.
