Light kits range from a bare pair of headlamps to full street-legal packages with turn signals, brake lights, a horn and a wiring harness. If your goal is road use, the harness and switch matter more than the lamps. TXT is the EZGO everyone means when they say 'EZGO'.

Fitment and sizing. Fits EZGO TXT. Many TXT parts also fit the 1994–2001 Medalist. TXT and RXV are different platforms — do not cross-shop between them. Most kits are 12V and need a voltage reducer on a 36V or 48V cart. Deluxe kits usually include one; basic kits often do not.

Do I need a voltage reducer for a golf cart light kit?

If the kit is 12V and your cart runs 36V or 48V, yes. Deluxe harness kits generally include a reducer; check the parts list before ordering separately.

Is the EZGO Medalist the same as a TXT?

Close. The Medalist (1994–2001) shares the frame and much of the drivetrain with the early TXT, so a lot of parts are listed as fitting both. Body trim and later electrical parts differ.
