Axle shafts are replaced after a spline strips or a bearing failure scores the shaft. They are sold per side and by model, and the bearing and seal usually go in at the same time. EZGO's aftermarket is the deepest in the industry, which is good news and a trap at the same time: TXT, RXV, Marathon and Medalist all share a name but not always a bolt pattern.

Fitment and sizing. EZGO serial numbers are on a plate under the glovebox or on the frame under the driver-side seat. RXV parts almost never fit TXT and vice versa. Order by cart, year and drive type. Electric and gas axles are not always the same part number even on the same model.

Do axle shafts come as a pair?

Some kits include both driver and passenger sides; others are single. The listing states which.

Will TXT parts fit an EZGO RXV?

Usually not. The RXV uses a different rear axle, brake design and body mounting, so seat covers, enclosures, brakes and light kits are model-specific. Universal items like fans, mirrors and cup holders do cross over.
