A cart harness is a cheap part that fixes expensive symptoms. Corroded or chafed main wiring shows up as intermittent power, a cart that cuts out under load, or lights that dim when the motor draws. Club Car has used several very different chassis over the years, so the single most useful thing you can do before ordering is identify your model and year.

Fitment and sizing. Serial number plate sits under the passenger-side dash or on the frame behind the driver-side rear wheel. The first two characters tell you the model year. Harnesses are model and year specific, and gas and electric carts use different looms. Match the OEM number where the listing gives one.

How do I tell a Club Car DS from a Precedent?

The DS has a squared-off body with a separate front bumper and exposed hardware. The Precedent has a smooth, rounded front cowl and integrated bumper. Parts are rarely interchangeable between the two.
