Light kits range from a bare pair of headlamps to full street-legal packages with turn signals, brake lights, a horn and a wiring harness. If your goal is road use, the harness and switch matter more than the lamps. The DS ran from 1981 to 2013 and is still everywhere, which is why replacement parts for it are plentiful and cheap.

Most kits are 12V and need a voltage reducer on a 36V or 48V cart. Deluxe kits usually include one; basic kits often do not.
