Charger compatibility comes down to three things: pack voltage, plug style and whether your cart uses an onboard computer. A 36V charger will not correctly service a 48V pack, and Club Car's Powerdrive, EZGO's D-style and Yamaha's receptacle are all different connectors. The DS ran from 1981 to 2013 and is still everywhere, which is why replacement parts for it are plentiful and cheap.

Fitment and sizing. Fits Club Car DS. Because the platform spanned 1981–2013, always match the year range printed in the listing — brake, electrical and body parts changed several times. Match voltage and plug type to your cart. Note that some 48V carts use a 48V pack of six 8V batteries and others four 12V — the charger cares about total pack voltage, not battery count.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my cart is 36V or 48V?

Count the batteries and their voltage: six 6V batteries is 36V; six 8V or four 12V is 48V. The charger receptacle style is also model-specific.

Are all Club Car DS parts the same from 1981 to 2013?

No. The DS went through several revisions — most notably around 1993 for body and lighting and 1995 for brakes. Match the year range in the listing to your serial plate.
