Overview

Meet the Innova Halo Star Tern, a high‑speed driver built for players who want distance with dependable shaping. Its flight profile lists Speed 12, Glide 6, Turn -3, and Fade 2, signaling a fast disc with substantial glide and a touch of understability. In real play, this combination can help you stretch your tee shots and set up cleaner approaches, all while preserving control as the disc finishes toward the basket.

What makes the Tern unique

The Tern lives up to its name with a natural turn that encourages a gentle initial turn on release. In the hands of an experienced thrower, this can translate to longer flights and a willingness to turn over on target lines, aiding shot shaping on wide fairways and riskier lanes.

Halo Star adds extra glide and a hint more overstability compared with the standard Star line. The two‑tone injection process creates the distinctive halo rim, which not only looks striking but also helps with visibility on the course and offers a durable, long‑lasting finish.

Best uses and on‑course potential

  • Shot shaping driver for long, controlled lines
  • Excellent glide that helps maximize distance without forcing speed
  • Roller potential when the terrain invites a low, flat release

Weight in the 173–175 g range suits players seeking a balance of speed and stability. Colors may vary, giving each disc its own character on the course. This combination of performance and looks makes the Halo Star Tern a versatile tool for players who want to explore new lines without sacrificing consistency.

How to approach throwing with the Halo Star Tern

  • Use a smooth tempo to let the natural turn emerge without forcing turnover
  • Aim for a slightly understable line to unlock extended reach with confident releases
  • Pair a controlled wrist snap with proper footing to maximize distance while maintaining accuracy
