Meet the Innova Valkyrie — a legendary distance driver

The Valkyrie is celebrated for its long-range potential and dependable flight path. Whether you’re dialing in height on a windy day or shaping a precise turnover, this disc is designed to be both exciting to throw and consistent to grip.

One remarkable fact often cited by players is the World Distance Record of 820 feet, achieved with the Valkyrie’s combination of speed and glide. In lighter weights, new players can explore extra distance, while heavier weights can help you punch through headwinds and carve upwind lines. The Valkyrie’s high-speed turn and forward-piring flight let you experiment with long turnover shots and controlled rollers on the right fairways.

Flight dynamics are clear when you look at the numbers: the disc weighs in at Speed 9, Glide 4, Turn -2, and Fade 2. This blend supports a wide range of disc golf strategies, from smooth tailwind drives to bold downwind turnover lines. Practically, you’ll notice a stable but lively feel that rewards rhythm and precision over brute force.

The Valkyrie is built for durability with Champion material, and colorways vary by run. While you may not see the exact hue every time, you can expect a high-quality finish that stands up to repeated throwing and contact with trees and turf on busy courses.

Ideal uses and flight behavior

  • Best choice for: First Distance Driver and Tailwind Drives
  • Turnover distance driver with great glide that holds the World Distance Record
  • Long-range turnover shots and rollers for controlled aggression on open fairways

Practical notes for real-world play: lighter weights often unlock additional distance on downwind throws, while maximum weights can help you achieve solid upwind lines. The Valkyrie’s combination of speed and flight path makes it a versatile tool for players who want to push their distance with accuracy, without sacrificing control.
