Overview

Meet the Prism Neutron Pyro midrange from Axiom Discs, designed as the brand’s first overstable midrange with notable glide. This disc aims to hold a straight line longer than some classic midranges and finishes with a crisp, predictable fade. It’s crafted for players who want confident control on longer approaches and in headwinds, without sacrificing distance-like glide.

In play, the Pyro is a versatile tool: it can tackle windy conditions, navigate tight gaps, and provide a reliable finish when accuracy matters most. While nothing guarantees specific results, many players find its flight characteristics helpful for shaping lines and dialing in approach shots.

Flight characteristics

  • Speed 5 | Glide 4 | Turn 0 | Fade 2.5 (14.5 mm class)
  • Overstable flight with a commanding yet controlled finish
  • Offers meaningful glide for longer approaches while staying on target in wind

Prism Neutron plastic

Prism Neutron combines Neutron core strength with a Proton rim for a premium look and durable feel. The mix aims to deliver a crisp grip, solid grip pressure, and resilience on impact, making it a reliable midrange option in varied conditions.

  • Core: Neutron plastic with a Proton rim for durability
  • Premium appearance and tactile surface
  • Balanced weight distribution for consistent flight

Ideal use and scenarios

The Pyro excels as an overstable midrange for headwinds, tight fairways, and longer approach shots where you want a reliable stable finish. It’s PDGA approved for professional play, making it suitable for casual rounds and sanctioned events alike.

Why choose the Pyro

  • First overstable midrange in Axiom’s lineup with added glide compared to some peers
  • Stable line in strong winds with a predictable finish
  • Durable Prism Neutron construction with a premium look
  • PDGA approved for all sanctioned competition
