Why customers choose Golfavero

Meet the Fission Defy: a versatile distance driver from Axiom Discs

Discover a distance driver that balances distance potential with predictable control. The Defy is designed to resist excessive turnover, helping you shape clean lines on both backhand and sidearm throws. Its flight path stays readable and the finish offers a confident bite at the end, making it a practical option when you need reliable distance without chasing extreme speed.

With a profile optimized for stability and a hint of end stability, the Defy suits players who want a longer straight shot that doesn’t suddenly fade away. Whether you’re aiming for a straight tunnel shot or a gentle hyzer finish, this disc provides a line you can trust, especially when your power isn’t at peak. The blend of speed, glide, and a controlled finish can translate into consistent distance on many course types.

Fission core technology gives lightness with responsive feel

Axiom projects Fission Microbubble Technology to produce an ultralight core. This design reduces weight where it matters most while maintaining a balanced overmold density. The result is a disc you can maneuver with a lighter grip yet still rely on for solid glide and distance in lighter weight classes.

Flight specs and practical on-course benefits

  • Flight stats: Speed 11, Glide 5, Turn -1.5, Fade 3
  • From straight lines to a measured finish, the Defy offers line-locking tendencies for precise throws
  • Designed to be usable even if you are not fully powering the throw, reducing штраф and hesitation on longer holes

Who benefits and how to use it

  • Backhand and sidearm players seeking a long straight drive with a reliable end
  • Players looking for a distance option that remains controllable when power is not at its maximum
  • PDGA approved for sanctioned play across a variety of course types

Weight and color variations are common in the Fission Defy line, with a 165–170 gram range offering versatility for different throwing styles. On calm days or windy holes, the Defy can help you target distance while keeping line control within reach. This is a compelling choice for players who value a dependable, long-range driver that pairs well with a measured approach rather than raw speed alone.
