Weights are not cross-brand: thread and diameter differ, so a Scotty Cameron weight will not fit an Odyssey. Heavier weights make the head feel heavier and can calm a quick tempo; lighter weights do the reverse. Change both weights by the same amount to keep the head balanced heel to toe.

How do I know which weight fits my putter?

Match the brand and model family — Odyssey Stroke Lab or Ai-ONE, Scotty Cameron by head shape, TaylorMade Spider by generation. The gram value of the current weight is usually stamped on it.

Can I change putter weights myself?

Yes, with the correct wrench, which many kits include. Clean the threads and tighten firmly — a loose weight rattles and can back out.
