The plan envisioned about 1,500 residences, a number that later grew to more than 2,500, along with not just golf, but a bridge crossing the lake to knit together neighborhoods and provide easy circulation. Alongside the homes and fairways, a motel, restaurant, shopping center, and a residents’ recreation center were added to provide a sense of place and daily convenience for residents and guests.
